Invited by Sernatur and Chile Travel, the renowned Spanish journalist Paco Nadal visited our region of Aysén. It is a real pride to be able to follow the journey of the man born in Murcia along the Carretera Austral, specifically between Balmaceda and Caleta Tortel. It was a week of adventure in which he stayed in Mallín Colorado and walked its trails. Learn a little about Paco Nadal's trip to Chile!
But that's not all, Paco had the opportunity to Kayak in the waters of Lake General Carrera around the Marble Caverns from Bahía Mansa. 30 minutes paddling, wonderful! He also visited the Confluence of the Baker with the Nef, the Patagonia National Park (Valle Chacabuco), Caleta Tortel and Chile Chico.
Regarding the Patagonia park, Paco Nadal commented on his communication networks that "it is one of the essentials during the tour along the Carretera Austral. It protects a superb landscape of the Patagonian steppe, where instead of forests what there is are endless grasslands, wetlands and "Desolate, windswept moors. You can explore it in your own car or on foot along the many marked trails."
And we know that Aysen Journeys is synonymous of adventure. And to honor that, we recommend that Paco Nadal do the entertaining and safe rafting activity on the Baker River, one of the most beautiful in the world. In this regard, the journalist said "rafting the Baker River, another of the activities you can do while you advance along the Carretera Austral. It starts in Puerto Bertrand and is of medium difficulty, with category III rapids. One of the rafting with the best panoramic views I've ever seen!"
To finish (or start) a tour, there is nothing better than trying the rich cuisine in Coyhaique, with options such as empanadas de jaiva, meat, corn pastry and pisco sour. Is there anything more Chilean?
